On Jan. 5, Avfuel announced it joined the group of ALTA (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) members.

With more than 3,000 locations around the world, Avfuel provides reliable fuel supply, operating systems, training, marketing support, credit and financing, tax assistance and insurance to airlines, transportation and cargo companies, corporate flight departments and airports, to name a few.

“I am delighted to welcome Avfuel, a company dedicated exclusively to the aviation industry that I am sure will bring value to the activities of the Fuel Committee and to the campaigns we develop at ALTA to continue improving supply, services and regulations related to fuel in Latin America and the Caribbean. At this time of restarting operations and on the road to recovery, generating efficiencies is more relevant and urgent than ever. Therefore, being able to bring airlines and suppliers closer together through productive discussions and joint campaigns is an important mission at ALTA. I am pleased that Avfuel joins this great community that works steadily for the development of air transport in the region,” commented Jose Ricardo Botelho, ALTA executive director and CEO.

“The Avfuel team looks forward to working closely with ALTA and contributing meaningful insight and action for its Fuel Committee,” said Joel Hirst, Avfuel’s vice president of sales. “As a global supplier of fuel and services, we work closely with operations all around the world and have focused extensively on extending our reach in the Latin American and Caribbean market. Joining ALTA helps us support this initiative and our customers throughout the region, in addition to the recent addition of a team member dedicated to serving this fast-growing market and the commercial operators that help its economy take flight.”
